FGID Third-Party Account Linking and Login Authorisation Rules

These Rules govern users' use of Steam, Google, X.com, or a Passkey to log in to FGID, the linking of multiple login methods, and authorisation when logging in to an Integrated Service through FGID.

Article 1 Supported Login Methods

FGID is a passwordless account system and supports only Steam, Google, X.com, and Passkeys. FGID does not support login using an account password or a verification code sent by email or SMS.

Each third-party account is independently operated by the relevant platform. A user who logs in through Steam, Google, or X.com is also subject to that platform's terms and privacy policy.

Article 2 User Eligibility and Authorisation

The user confirms that the user lawfully holds and is entitled to use each linked account and is entitled to authorise the third party to provide FGID with the data necessary to complete login. The user shall not steal, borrow, purchase, or unlawfully take control of another person's account.

Article 3 Data We May Obtain

Depending on the scope authorised, FGID may obtain from a third party a unique user identifier, nickname, avatar, public profile data, contact email address or verification status, region, language, age status, authorisation scope, authorisation time, and token status. The actual scope is as shown on the authorisation page. FGID does not require users to provide us with their third-party account passwords.

Article 4 Account Creation, FGID ID, and Nickname

At first login, FGID may create a new FGID Account and generate a unique FGID ID that may be displayed publicly. Users may change their nicknames, but a nickname change does not change the FGID ID.

The same email address, nickname, avatar, or other similar data does not by itself establish that two accounts belong to the same user, and FGID will not automatically merge accounts solely because their data is the same.

Article 5 Linking Multiple Login Methods

One FGID Account may be linked to multiple supported Steam, Google, and X.com accounts and to one or more Passkeys, subject to product rules and security limits on quantity. Unless the relevant page states otherwise, the same third-party account may generally be linked to only one FGID Account at a time.

Users shall retain at least one valid login method. We recommend linking two or more methods to reduce the risk of losing access to an account if any single third-party platform becomes unavailable.

Article 6 Unlinking and Deleting a Login Method

A login method may not be unlinked or deleted immediately if:

1. it is the account's last valid login method;
2. the account is subject to a security freeze, recovery procedure, or ownership dispute;
3. unlinking may affect an ongoing investigation; or
4. applicable law or the rules of a third-party platform or FGID security rules restrict unlinking.

Before unlinking a method, the user shall link another supported method or create a usable Passkey. After unlinking, FGID may retain necessary historical linking records and security logs.

Article 7 Logging in to an Integrated Service through FGID

When a user selects “Log in with FGID,” the authorisation page shall display the name and operator of the Integrated Service, the requested data categories, purposes, required and optional permissions, and links to the applicable terms and privacy policy.

After the user confirms authorisation, FGID may provide the Integrated Service with the authentication result, the public FGID ID, nickname, avatar, and any other data expressly authorised by the user.

Article 8 Data Minimization and Prohibited Uses

An Integrated Service shall not request data unrelated to its functions, conceal high-risk permissions, expand the purposes of processing without consent, require a user to provide a third-party account password or Passkey private key, sell FGID data, use such data for cross-context behavioural advertising or unauthorised user profiling, or impersonate FGID or represent itself as an official FGID service.

Article 9 Withdrawal of Authorisation

Users may withdraw an Integrated Service's authorisation through the FGID Account Center. After withdrawal, FGID will cease issuing new authorisation tokens. Data already lawfully retained by the Integrated Service may not be deleted automatically; users should submit a separate deletion request under that service's privacy policy.

Article 10 Interruption of Third-Party Services

If a Steam, Google, or X.com account is banned, deleted, or disabled, or if the relevant interface changes or service is interrupted, the corresponding login method may become unavailable. FGID does not guarantee that any third-party login method will remain permanently available.

Article 11 Security and Appeals

Where there is a linking conflict, token anomaly, automated attack, third-party risk notification, or other reasonable risk, FGID may revoke tokens, suspend linking, require re-authentication, or freeze the account. Users may submit an appeal through the following channel:
